On day 1 of our Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech, we will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and take you to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah over the mountains of the High Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). After a tour of the Kasbah, we stop for lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Ouarzazate and stop near the Atlas film studios for a photo session. Then, we continue to the city center for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt. Later on, you will head to Kalaa M’gouna or Boumalne Dades to end your day. Dinner will be served in the hotel where you will spend the night.
On the morning of Day 2, after breakfast in the hotel, we will drive towards Tineghir passing by Boumalne du Dades and stopping for a panoramic view of Dades valley. Later on, we will continue to Todra Gorges via Imider and Tineghir. We will be stopping along the way for photos to admire the views of nature. Upon your arrival at Todra Gorges, you will get to enjoy its marvelous canyon views while hiking on foot.
In the afternoon, we continue to Tinejdad to have a break for lunch. We move to Erfoud where you will visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that, you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi. These dunes are also called Merzouga Dunes.
Upon your arrival at your desert camp, get ready for a camel trek for an hour and a half to watch the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp for an overnight stay in a traditional nomad tent where you will also have dinner.
After enjoying the amazing sunrise among the sand dunes where you will have breakfast, you will ride your camels back to the auberge. The plan for the last and third day of our Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech is to travel directly back to Marrakech and have a few stops on the way.
After lunch is served in one of the stops, we continue to the Red City of Marrakech over the mountains of the High Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude).
